I would like to share this pattern to everyone FREE , NO charge! Dedicated to my fellow crocheters especially to those stay-at-home mom like me. When I was half way finish writing the pattern, I realized I could also make this into a skirt! Skill Level: Confident Beginner :)

 You will need:

  • 1 Ball of Bernat Softee Baby 5oz/ 140g
  • any solid color yarn for the flowers/leaves (I used lime and Red)
  • Yarn Needle
  • size 4.5mm Crochet hook

Body 

To begin, Ch 74, sl st to first Ch to join.

 Round 1: Ch 1 (Does not count as st) sc same sp and in each ch around. sl st to the first sc to join. Turn (74 sc)

Round 2: Ch 1 (Does not count as sc) sc next st and in each sts around, sc into the same sp as ch 1, sl st to first sc to join. (74 sts)

Round 3: Repeat Round 1

Round 4: Reapeat Round 2

Round 5: Ch 1 (Does not count as sc), SC same sp and in each sts around. Sl st to first sc to join. Do not turn (74 sts)

Round 6-7: Repeat Round 5

Round 8: Sl st next st, Ch 3 (Count as DC), make 1 DC back on the first st (this is gonna be your first cross stitch), *(skip st, DC next st, DC back into skipped st) Repeat * around. Sl st on top of Ch 3. (37 Cross Stitch)

Round 9-10: Ch 1 (Does not count as sc), SC same sp and in each sts around. Sl st to first sc to join. Do not turn (74 sts)

Round 11: Repeat Round 8

Round 12-13: Repeat Round 9

Round 14: Repeat Round 8

Round 15-16: Repeat Round 9

Round 17: Ch1, work on Back Loops Only for this round, sc same sp and in each sts around. Sl st to join (74 sts)

Round 18: Ch 3 (count as DC), 3 DC same sp, DC next 3sts, *( 4 DC next st, DC next 2 sts) Repeat * til last 3 sts, 1 DC each of the last 3 sts. Sl st on top of Ch 3 to join. (146 DC sts)

Round 19: Ch 2 (Does not count as DC) DC same sp and in each sts around. Sl st into the first DC to join. (146 DC sts)

Repeat Round 19 to your desired length. Mine is up to Round 37.

(You can fasten off the white yarn if you want to change the color for the edging)

EDGING

Ch 3 (Count as DC), 4 DC same St, *(skip next St,SC next St, skip next St, 5 DC next St), Repeat * until the last st, make 1 SC into the last St, join with a Sl St on top of the Ch 3. Fasten off. (total of 37 shells)



On top of dress (the first round), join the white yarn (or any color of your choice), Ch 1, SC same sp, sc in each sts around. Fasten off (74 sts)


Strap (make 4)

Ch 51, SC into 2nd Ch from the hook and in each Ch. (50 SC)

Flower (make 2 or 4, attach each into the straps)

*I used 2 colors (white and red)

With white

R1 – magic ring, Ch 1, SC, 5 HDC into the ring, sl st into the first HDC to join,

R2 – change color, Ch 4, *(Sl st into next St, Ch 4) Repeat * 4 times. Sl St into the same St as ch 4 to join. (total of 5 Ch 4 space)





R3 – (SC, 5 DC, SC) into each Ch 4 sp. (Total of 5 petals)

fasten off and attach the flower into the strap, then attach each straps into the dress see photo as guide.


2 Leaves (optional)

*I used Green. You can attach this to the flower or the strap.

Ch 6, SC into 2nd Ch from the hook, SC next Ch, HDC next 2 Ch, Sl St last Ch (first leaf), Ch 6, SC in 2nd Ch from the hook, SC next Ch, HDC next 3 Ch, make a Sl St into same Sl St as first leaf.

Crochet Hat (size 3T-5yr old)






Hat Info
  • Head Circumference: 20 Inches
  • Length (from crown to base of ear): 7.75 Inches
You'll need:
  • 1 ball of Caron Simply Soft Light Country Blue
  • 1 ball of Caron Simply Soft Dark Country Blue
  • Crochet Hook - I/5.5mm
  • Yarn needle to weave the tails
  • Pompom Maker
  • Scissor

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St(s) = Stitch(es)
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet
BPDC = Back Post Double Crochet
FPHDC = Front Post Half Double Crochet
BPHDC = Back Post Half Double Crochet
 
Remember:
  • Try to loosen your crochet, DO NOT crochet too tight.
  • Most rounds starts with Ch2 but the last round starts with ch1, DO NOT count them as DC or HDC

To Start:

(with Light Country Blue)

Ch 5, Sl St on the first Ch to make a ring.

Round 1: Ch 2, make 20 DC on the ring.

Round 2: Ch 2, 1 DC on the same St, 2 DC next *(1 DC next St, 2 DC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first DC to join (30 Sts)

Round 3: Ch 2, 1 DC on the same St, 1 DC next St, 2 DC next St *(1 DC on the next 2 Sts, 2 DC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first DC to join

Round 4: Ch 2, 1 DC on the same St and the next 2 Sts, 2 DC on the next St. *(1 DC on the next 3 Sts, 2 DC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first DC to join

Round 5: Ch 2, 1 DC on the same St and the next 3 Sts, 2 DC on the next St. *(1 DC on the next 4 Sts, 2 DC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first DC to join.  (60 Sts)

Round 6 - Round 12: Ch 2, 1 DC on each Sts. Sl St on the first DC to join. Fasten off weave later  (60 Sts)

Change to Color Dark Country Blue

 Round 13 : Ch 2, FPDC on the first DC, BPDC next St. *(FPDC next, BPDC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first St.

Round 14 - 15: Ch 2, FPDC on the first FPDC, BPDC on the next BPDC. *(FPDC next, BPDC next) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first St.

Round 16: Ch 1, FPHDC on the first FPDC, BPHDC next BPDC. *( FPHDC next, BPHDC next)Repeat * around. Sl St on the first St. fasten off. weave the tails using the yarn needle.
I used a Clover brand pompom maker and the Caron Dark Country Blue

 Hope everyone enjoy this crochet pattern I also want to add that if you want to use the Red Heart Super Saver or any brand but same type of this yarn and with the hook H-5mm you will come up with the size that would fit a 4-6yr old. and if you use a hook size 5.5mm with Red Heart Super Saver yarn, you will come up with the size that would fit a 7-9yr old.

Easy and Simple Crochet Hat (for 12M - 2T)
 





Hat Info
  • Head Circumference: 18 Inches
  • Length (from crown to base of ear): 6.75 Inches

You'll need:

  • 1 ball of Caron Simply Soft (I used Autumn Red for this project)
  • 1 ball of Loops & Thread Soft & Shiny or any 4 ply soft yarn (I used the color Butter) you will only need some (take a look at the photo) but in case you want to use this color for more rounds or for the flower to sew later
  • Crochet Hook - H/5mm
  • Yarn needle to weave the tails

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St(s) = Stitch(es)
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet

Special Stitch:

Reverse Single Crochet: Check this >> site for an easy and clear instruction how to do a reverse SC.

Remember:
  • Try to loosen your crochet, DO NOT crochet too tight.

(with color Red)

Round 5: Ch 2, 1 DC on the same St and the next 3 Sts, 2 DC on the next St. *(1 DC on the next 4 Sts, 2 DC next St) Repeat * around. Sl St on the first DC to join.  (60 Sts)

Round 6 - Round 11: Ch 2, 1 DC on each Sts. Sl St on the first DC to join (60 Sts)

Round 12: Change to Color Butter but do not fasten of the Red, just tie it to the tail of Butter. Repeat Round 6. fasten off

Round 13 - Change to Color Red, Repeat Round 6.

Round 14: Ch 1, SC each Sts. Sl St on the first SC to join. (60 Sts)

Round 15: Ch 1, SC on the back loop only and in each sts for this round only. Sl St on the first SC to join. (60 Sts)

Round 16: Ch 1, Reverse SC in each Sts around. Sl St on the first SC to join. Finish off and weave the tails.



This would look nice with any crochet flower or ribbon.

Hope everyone enjoy this crochet pattern I also want to add that if you want to use the Red Heart Super Saver or any brand but same type of this yarn, you will come up with the size that would fit a 4-6yr old. and if you use a hook size 5.5mm with Red Heart Super Saver yarn, you will come up with the size that would fit a 7-9yr old.
